A Glorious to End to AMAN Exercises

Karachi: As the #AMAN exercises came to a glorious end, observers & ships from 37 countries with 16 countries who participated in the exercises with their ships and crew stood with their heads held high, reaffirming their commitment to further combat terrorism and defend the geographical boundaries of their respective countries.

On the evening of the 14th  February 2017, Mr. Murat.M. Onart Consul General of Turkey in Karachi hosted the ship crew and the hosts of AMAN exercises on a luxurious evening filled with Turkish food and music at his official residence. Present at the occasion were the dignitaries of Pakistan Navy and the Defense Attaché from the Embassy of Turkey in Islamabad w20170215_000129ho especially flew in to attend these exercises.

Sharing their feelings, the Captain and crew of the ship expressed their love for Pakistan and the importance of bilateral cooperation whilst expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the hospitality and impeccable arrangements by the Pakistan Navy. During discussion with the Defense Attache, the higlights of the discussion were the huge untapped potential in Pakistan as he stressed the need for joint venture between Turkey and Pakistan. All the guests appreciated the great services that are being provided by the Consulate General in Karachi and the immense efforts of Consul General Mr. Murat M. Onart in improving ties between the two countries.

These types of multi country naval exercises provide Pakistan with a great opportunity for Defense cooperation and au meme temps sends a strong message to the global community and those desperately trying to destabilize the region that Pakistan is ready to face challenges and the international community is prepared to extend its support.
